Hack #3: Exit from Nokia Orbiter

leave a comment »

Orbiter for LinuxMCE doesn’t contain button ‘Exit’. Instead of that it provide a way to switch between KDE and On-Screen Orbiter. But for Nokia770/N800 Orbiter that button is useless. To use it for finish the Orbiter just add following row to hte end of /usr/pluto/bin/Start_KDE.sh:

/usr/pluto/bin/MessageSend dcerouter 0 <orbiter_dev_id> 7 0

Hack #1: Add screen resolution for Nokia770

with one comment

Nokia770 can be used as a control panel (Orbiter) for LinuxMCE. But unfortunately its screen resolution – 800×480 is not presented on the Orbiter main page. To add it just insert that record to the pluto_main database:

insert into Size (Description,Width,Height,ScaleX,ScaleY) VALUES('800 x 480',800,480,376,300);

Don’t forget quick reload the router because LinuxMCE caches database stuff.
